Free Parent Workshop

We live in a world saturated with technology. According to the Kaiser Family Foundation, children ages 8 to 18 spend approximately 7 hours and 38 minutes per day with modern technology. Technology itself isn’t bad, but, like everything else, it can be used for evil and destruction. Students need parents and faith leaders to lovingly teach them how to use technology with wisdom. In this training, we will examine the leading technologies that are discipling the next generation. We will see how they have revolutionized the world and go over incredibly practical steps for how to use them with wisdom. AXIS is a Christian Para-Church ministry dedicated to translating the modern culture for parents and teens. The River Academy is excited to be bringing this free event to the community and thankful to Sage Hills Church for the use of their sanctuary.

Welcome to The River Academy

In the Fall of 1998 The River Academy, a Classical Christian School in the Wenatchee Valley, opened its doors with twelve students and two teachers.  Now in our 20th year of “partnering with parents in educating their children to become the next generation of Christian leaders who embrace all of Christ, for all of life, for all the world”, we praise the Lord for the growth we have had to over 200 students!

Our website is designed to give you a brief snapshot of life at The River Academy (TRA for short).  As you scan the pages, we hope you enjoy what you see and read.  But even more than this, we hope you are inspired by the possibilities that await your child.  If this is the case we invite you to contact us to learn more about the education offered at The River Academy.  Enjoy!

"If we work upon marble, it will perish; if we work upon brass, time will efface it; if we rear temples, they will crumble into dust; but if we work upon immortal minds, if we imbue them with principles, with just fear of God and love of our fellowmen, we engrave on those tablets something which will brighten all eternity."
Daniel Webster (1782 - 1852)
